CAPTCHA: KEEPING THE SPAM OUT

Formschristian louboutin shoes are everywhere online. They give us the ability to take what would otherwise be a flat page of text and images and start sending information to the person or people behind the webpage. It’s then that the page becomes a tool rather than just a reference. WebSite Tonight has christian louboutin pumps always offered forms available in all sorts of customizable shapes and formats to make your site more dynamic and useful, but what happens when your site attracts the attention of less than scrupulous characters? Wait a minute… is THAT where all that spam is coming from via my website’s form? As a long time user of WebSite Tonight (and someone who hates spam as much as you) I am glad Christian Loutoutin Boots to present our new CAPTCHA feature to the Website Tonight forms. As a bit of background, CAPTCHA is an acronym for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” and you can see them anywhere from your MySpace login to Go Daddy’s password reset. CAPTCHA’S are usually an image of a series of characters or a word, hidden inside of a background of squiggles or slashes that prevent image recognition software from reading it. The form user is requested to type in the characters as they see them and if they’re correct, the form is submitted. WebSite Tonight’s CAPTCHA features dynamically generates images using randomly created jimmy choo salenumber patterns, which means that no matter how many times a spambot may try to pick up a pattern and get around the form protection, they’ll never find it as there is no set list. Every new CAPTCHA is a new pattern specifically made to be easily readable for your human users and difficult for anything else. This feature is available for all Deluxe and Premium users as of right now, and if you’re already familiar with the WebSite Tonight form editor, you’ll be pleased to find out that you can add it and move it around in exactly the same fashion you would with any other form field. Republish your project and there you are, spam-free living. If it’s online, and you want to keep the bots out, there are few ways better than CAPTCHA to do so. We have been looking forward to offering this feature for a while and look forward to your feedback on it. As always, let us know what you think!

The safe zone is largely rural

Allchristian louboutin shoes but a dozen of the counties have populations of less than 25,000 people, many of whom make a living in agriculture. As the rest of the nation was riding the mortgage bubble, many farmers and ranchers in the safe zone who suffered through the agriculture crisis of the 1980s took on comparatively little debt. And when the recession hit, it didn't dampen demand for the row crops grown on the Great Plains. Consumptionchristian louboutin pumps of food and feed grains has increased 3 to 4 percent annually in recent years, while a federal mandate that gasoline contain certain levels of ethanol has also kept demand for corn and soybeans high. "The Christian Loutoutin Bootslast few years, ag has been pretty good," said Rupp, who sells alfalfa to dairies and feedlots. "In the long run, if there is such a thing, it's more stable than being in a county with energy as a primary industry. We miss out on the booms and busts, but overall we're in pretty good shape." But while not in a bust cycle, ag prices are still down enough from last summer's highs to worry Doug Goehring, North Dakota's agriculture commissioner. "Ifjimmy choo sale you really want to hurt the economy, beat the heck out of agriculture," Goehring said. "It is a primary sector in our economy. It is generating new wealth. You can't just rely on services to drive your economy." Elsewhere in the safe zone, the business is energy, and the recession is starting to take a toll on a business that was booming. While oil prices have increased this summer, it's the price of natural gas and coal that matters most here. Natural gas that traded for nearly $13 per 1,000 cubic feet last summer is now available for less than $4. The spot price for coal is running around $9 a ton, down from about $13 last year. The number of rigs in Wyoming drilling for coal bed methane dropped to zero in May, down from 19 the previous year, while the number of conventional rigs drilling for natural gas and oil is off by more than half. No coal mines have closed, but annual production could drop as much as 10 percent as the recession stalls the need for electricity nationwide.

Visit the Career & Work Center

Roundingchristian louboutin shoes out the cities with the highest unemployment rates are Hickory, N.C., Bend, Ore., Janesville, Wisc., and Tuscaloosa, Ala., which have all lost manufacturing jobs in the last year. christian louboutin pumpsOverall, of the 372 metropolitan areas tracked by the Department of Labor, 144 now have double-digit unemployment rates, or 39%. Of those, unemployment is above 12% in 62 cities. Nationwide there are growing signs that the recession is easing or may already have ended. After three years of falling relentlessly, the Case-Shiller Home Price index, released Tuesday, Christian Loutoutin Boots suggests that home prices are stabilizing. New home sales in June rose 11%, the Census Bureau reported Monday (a positive indicator, although this was still within the report's margin of error). And a look at unemployment by county shows many states where unemployment is not that bad and jimmy choo salerecovery will be swift. The center of the country--especially the region between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River--where agriculture and energy are dominant, still has strong employment. For the best numbers anywhere in the country, look to Bismarck, North Dakota, where unemployment is 3.8% (see "What's North Dakota's Secret?"). Banking and housing seem to be recovering, and industries like education, health care, agriculture and energy are poised to stay on track, but manufacturing may have a longer way to go. But there is hope: "Exports have been a leader out of the recession in the last two recoveries," says John Canally, an economist with LPL Financial. "We could look to exports being a leader out of recession again." It may be tricky in a global downturn, but if America's manufacturers can find markets overseas, they could join housing and banking in leading the way to recovery. christian louboutin Christian Louboutin Evening Christian Louboutin Sandals jimmy choo shoes Christian Louboutin Wedges jimmy choo

Irvin comes to defense of Romo

SANchristian louboutin shoes ANTONIO – There were a couple of times during the opening practice of Dallas Cowboys training camp Wednesday when quarterback Tony Romo(notes) was his confounding self. The athletic Romo, who possesses one of the quickest releases in the game, sometimes just seems to go into a brain cramp. One such occasion was when he tossed an errant deep pass christian louboutin pumps toward Miles Austin(notes) that was so far off it ended up being tipped for an interception. During another instance, he threw a deep ball toward Roy Williams against no defense. When jimmy choo saleWilliams zigged, Romo threw the zag and the pass landed more than 10 yards from where Williams was running. But for all the naysayers who look at Romo over the past two years and put the blame firmly on him for Dallas’ recent failure, former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin has one thing to say. “Can we get Drew Bledsoe(notes) back out here [for] just a week so you guys can really fall back in love with Tony?” asked Irvin, a man with the gift of both Hall of Fame grab and gab. “Let’s put Drew Bledsoe back out here, because sometimes when you have a pretty girl for awhile, you forget how pretty she is. But when you throw the ugly girl next to her, you say, ‘No, I’m really doing well.’ Maybe we need to bring Drew out so we know we’re really doing well.” While Irvin’s jokes were at a high expense to Bledsoe, the point was well taken. People forget that by Bledsoe’s last two years, his combination of clay feet and slow internal clock made him the target of pass rushers everywhere. SinceJimmy Choo Sandals then, Romo’s combination of a high-profile (and recently ex-) girlfriend and other surrounding drama has made him a target for pundits everywhere. And just about everywhere you look, there are critics ready to take their shots at all things Cowboys. Between sunning himself on the beach with Jessica Simpson in Cabo San Lucas before a playoff game two seasons ago, golfing, downplaying ugly losses and having problems with departed wide receiver Terrell Owens(notes), Romo has caught enough flak to fill a 15-year career. “Way too much. Too much. It really is [too much],” Irvin said. “Tony is 27-12 over his first 39 games. I don’t know anyone, on any team, at any time … who wouldn’t take a quarterback when you say he’s going to be 27-12 over his first 39 games. Every coach, every GM, every owner will raise their hand and say, ‘Give me that guy.’ That’s the bottom line. “I was coming through the airport and I had people say to me, ‘Do you think we should get rid of Romo?’ I wanted to ground all the planes and go on the microphone and say, ‘Are you people serious?’ Stop it already. Will you stop with this mess? You are reading too much into the Jessica stuff – not to say Tony has helped in that. And [he] can’t come out after a game when emotions are still high like in Philadelphia and say – and he was just trying to deal with it – that if this is the worst thing that happens to me, I’ll be fine. You can’t do that. I’m sure Tony would acknowledge that was a mistake. But that being said, to be talking about getting rid of Tony is absolutely … ridiculous.” But this is what happens when you’re a quarterback, particularly for the Dallas Cowboys. You attract attention like a mouse in a snake pit. New backup quarterback Jon Kitna(notes) noticed right away. After a 12-year career that has featured stops in Seattle, Cincinnati and Detroit, the 36-year-old Kitna was flabbergasted by what he saw Wednesday as several thousand fans came to the Alamodome to watch practice. “There’s nothing I’ve seen that’s like this,” Kitna said. “I’m sure there is, maybe New England and New York, places like that that have had a lot of winning. But this is incredible to me. … They watch intently at practice. Here, you have a false start at practice and they boo. It’s kind of funny to me.” This season will be especially difficult for Romo because he’s now the biggest circus in town now that Owens has been cast aside. Even without the extra pub he was getting in People and US magazine, Romo will be both the lightning and divining rod of the Cowboys. And when a team like the Cowboys has gone 13 years without a playoff win (only Detroit in the NFC has gone longer), there’s a lot of angst in the fan base. On Wednesday, Romo caused a minor stir when he decided not to talk to the press, preferring to wait until after the Thursday morning session. Even so, he was the subject of plenty of questions for everyone from tight end Jason Witten(notes) to coach Wade Phillips. The bottom line is this: People want to know if Romo is focused for the upcoming season. “To be honest, I never noticed him not being focused,” Phillips said. “The guy comes to everything he’s supposed to, he works hard at everything and that’s why I think … in the last two years he has gotten better. He knows there are things he needs to do better, but he’s a real talent and he can help win games for us. He’s done everything we’ve asked, so we have to help him [as coaches].The questioning got to the point that Phillips started shaking his head in mild disgust when Romo’s golfing jones was mentioned. “The guys play video games off the field. I mean, they have a life. … When he makes all the workouts and works hard and does the right things, I don’t think playing golf some takes away from his focus in football,” Phillips said. “No more than what everybody else does with their leisure time. There [are] a lot of things that people do, [but] because he’s the quarterback and he’s under the microscope, some people are going to say he didn’t do this and he didn’t do that.”For now, what Romo hasn’t done is lead the Cowboys to a playoff victory.Fair point, but Irvin is willing to be patient. “At least you get an opportunity at a playoff win when you’re 27-12,” Irvin said. “When you’re 12-27, you don’t even get the opportunity at a playoff win. You’re measuring it the wrong way. You’re talking about a young guy in 39 games. That’s not much experience now. So you see there’s a chance to get better. That’s good. You got to give it time. These things were being said about Eli [Manning] two years ago and Eli went and won a Super Bowl and now no one says that. I don’t know much about this thing called football, but I know …” Irvin’s voice trailed off at that point, unable to finish any sentence that starts off with the idea that he doesn’t know much about football. That’s almost as ridiculous as saying Romo should be benched.

Harvard prof, arresting policeman to talk again

WASHINGTON Jimmy Choo Sandals– The black scholar and the white police sergeant who arrested him agreed to disagree and promised to talk again, a gracious conclusion to the first round of an eye-opening dialogue on race that allows President Barack Obama to get back to selling his health care plan to skeptical Americans. Afterjimmy choo sale accepting Obama's invitation to discuss the July 16 incident over a beer Thursday evening at the White House, both Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. Joseph Crowley thanked Obama for the cold ones served on a patio near the Rose Garden. Neither they nor the president offered apologies for their roles in the affair. ObamaChristian Loutoutin Boots became embroiled in the debate over whether Crowley was justified in arresting Gates at his Cambridge home when the president told a news conference last week that police had "acted stupidly." He quickly backtracked in the face of police complaints, acknowledged he should have used different language to express his concerns, and invited the two men to join him for a beer. "I have always believed that what brings us together is stronger than what pulls us apart," Obama said after the highly anticipated, 40-minute conversation. "I am confident that has happened here tonight, and I am hopeful that all of us are able to draw this positive lesson from this episode." White House officials were content to let Obama's involvement in the incident end right there. Gates and Crowley said they were eager to get back to work, although both pledged future talks aimed at better understanding. Gates said he hoped the entire experience would prove to be an "occasion for education, not recrimination," adding that the burden now rests with him and Crowley to use the opportunity to foster wider awareness of the dangers facing police officers and the fears that some blacks have about racial profiling. In a nod to all that's facing Obama, his friend, Gates added, "It turns out that the president just might have a few other things on his plate as well." "We agreed to move forward," Crowley said later when asked whether anything had been solved. "I think what you had today was two gentlemen agreeing to disagree on a particular issue. I don't think that we spent too much time dwelling on the past. We spent a lot of time discussing the future." That's precisely where the White House wants the public to be looking. Although Obama had invited Crowley and Gates as part of what he called a "teachable moment," it was barely seen by the masses. The permitted news coverage allowed the public to get the we've-come-together photos and video footage that the White House wanted, while keeping the discussion private among the men. "I noticed this has been called the 'Beer Summit.' It's a clever term, but this is not a summit, guys," Obama told reporters in the Oval Office before the meeting, trying to lower expectations. "This is three folks having a drink at the end of the day, and hopefully giving people an opportunity to listen to each other. And that's really all it is. This is not a university seminar." The incident that brought them together was well known by the time the three men met, joined by Vice President Joe Biden: Crowley had investigated a potential burglary at Gates' house and ended up arresting the protesting professor for disorderly conduct. The matter mushroomed into a debate on racial profiling, fueled by Obama's "acted stupidly" remark. Vesla Weaver, a political scientist who studies race and criminal justice at the University of Virginia, said she doesn't fault Obama, the nation's first black president, for not pushing the conversation to a broader discussion of racial injustice. "He's in a bit of a difficult spot," she said, given the nation's extremely sensitive reactions to matters of race. Crowley told reporters that Obama served merely as a facilitator. "He provided the beer. He contributed in a small part," Crowley said. "He really wanted to bringchristian louboutin shoes christian louboutin shoes two people together to try to solve not only a local issue in Cambridge but also what has become a national issue." So much of a national issue that Obama's popularity took a hit, especially among white voters, according to a poll released Thursday. The survey by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center found that 41 percent of respondents disapproved of Obama's handling of the Gates arrest, compared with 29 percent who approved. Among whites in general, more disapprove than approve of his comments by a 2-1 margin. The poll of 1,506 adults was conducted July 22-26. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. "Politics aside, the most important thing that should come out of today is that two people sat down and talked to one another," said Karen Finney, a former Democratic National Committee spokeswoman. "That is how real change happens, when people are willing to challenge their own biases by talking to people who are different from themselves."

Obesity surgery death rates are low, study finds

Obese, jimmy choo salebut worried that surgery for it might kill you? The risk of that has dropped dramatically, and now is no greater than for having a gall bladder out, a hip replaced or most other major operations, new research shows. Thejimmy choo sale study looked at safety results for gastric bands and stomach stapling at 10 U.S. hospitals specializing in these procedures from 2005 through 2007. For every 1,000 patients, three died during or within a month of their surgery, and 43 had a major complication. That jimmy choo saleis much better than the 20 or so deaths per 1,000 patients that studies found just a few years earlier. And it's surely lower than the longer term risk of dying of heart disease, diabetes and other consequences of lugging around more pounds than an obese person's organs can handle, experts say. Manyjimmy choo sale studies have compared those odds, and "all show a higher risk of dying if you do not have surgical treatment than if you do," said Dr. Eric DeMaria, weight loss surgery chief at Duke University Medical Center. He jimmy choo salehad no role in the new study, which was led by Dr. David Flum at the University of Washington in Seattle. Results appear in Thursday's New England Journal of Medicine. About jimmy choo saleone-third of American adults are obese, with a body mass index of 30 or more. The index is based on height and weight. Someone who is 5-feet-4 is obese at 175 pounds; a 6-foot person is obese at 222 pounds. Federal jimmy choo saleguidelines say obesity surgery shouldn't be considered unless someone has tried conventional ways to shed pounds and has a BMI over 40, or a BMI over 35 plus a weight-related medical problem like diabetes or high blood pressure. Lastjimmy choo sale year, at least 220,000 obesity surgeries were done in the United States, says the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. The most popular method is a gastric bypass in which a small pouch is stapled jimmy choo saleoff from the rest of the stomach and connected to the small intestine. People eat less because the pouch holds little food, and they absorb fewer calories because much of the intestine is bypassed. This can be done with traditional surgery or laparoscopically, through small keyhole incisions. Another solution is a gastric band. A ring is placed over the top of the stomach and inflated with saline to tighten it and restrict how much food can enter and pass through the stomach. The new jimmy choo salestudy looked at the safety of these methods in 3,412 gastric bypass patients and 1,198 given stomach bands. Death, serious complications or the need for another procedure occurred in 1 percent of peoplejimmy choo sale receiving bands, nearly 5 percent having laparoscopic gastric bypass, and nearly 8 percent of those given a traditional surgical bypass. Maybe DeMaria cautioned against comparing the numbers, because healthier people may have been steered toward laparoscopic procedures that may not have been an option for others with more health risks. Complication rates were greater in people with a history of clot problems, sleep apnea and certain other medical issues, the study found. The federal government paid for the study. Many of the researchers have ties to companies that make obesity treatments, and several have testified in surgery lawsuits. The results put the spotlight on cost issues, Dr. Malcolm K. Robinson, a surgeon at Harvard Medical School, wrote in an editorial accompanying the study. "In Jimmy Choo Sandalsthe past, now outdated bariatric procedures carried unacceptably high risks. The weight loss associated with the procedures was questionable, and the long-term health benefits were unproven," he wrote. Now, the evidence shows that "surgery is safe, effective, and affordable," because it can lower doctor visits, medication use and other medical expenses, Robinson wrote. However, "the expense of operating on the millions of potentially eligible obese adults could overwhelm an already financially stressed health care system."

Film Review: YOO HOO, MRS. GOLDBERG

Tillie Jimmy Choo SandalsEdelstein was the creator of “Molly Goldberg,” one of the most beloved matriarchs in the history of American popular culture. Reinventing herself as “Gertrude Berg,” Tillie won an Emmy and a Tony, sold a cookbook and an autobiography, and ended her professional life as one of television’s best-paid variety show guests. Award-winningjimmy choo sale director Aviva Kempner tells all this and more in her new documentary film YOO HOO, MRS. GOLDBERG. Kempner’s description of Berg ’s mercurial rise, juxtaposing a wealth of clips with new talking head interviews, is masterful, but the story of Berg’s ascent leaves a lot of unanswered questions, especially about her personal life. Berg’christian louboutin pumps s story has resonant undercurrents, but Kempner completely avoids them. Nevertheless, Kempner succeeds in bringing back a Jewish-American heroine now by and large forgotten. There’s one particular quote from Supreme CourtChristian Loutoutin Boots Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg that proves a point made frequently by Communications Guru Martha Lauzen: “If we change media messages, we change the world!”

Make Way for the 215 Festival

This christian louboutin shoes week, The 215 Festival takes over the Philly literary scene, from Wed. the 5th to Mon. the 10th. And from what I can tell, this will be the most kickass literary event to hit the city all year. The christian louboutin pumps215 Festival celebrates literature as its own cutting-edge performance genre and includes performances that meld spoken word, music, dance, film, etc. What intrigues me most is that the schedule of events is as broad and varied as Philly itself, from fishingjimmy choo sale to sex to jazz infusion (maybe they're not all that different, eh?). Performances stretch from University City to Northern Liberties, hitting bookstores, bars, and musuems along the way. Oh yeah -- and most important -- most events are FREE!

Week 47 - Christmas Blog

Christmaschristian louboutin shoes was always going to be the riskiest time of our rubbish free year, and I suspect that had we just started the challenge it might have blown us right out. However, we, and more importantly, our family and friends have had almost 11 months to get our heads around doing Christmas rubbish free. Everyone did very well, giving us gifts without landfill destined packaging, but I think the prize for most innovative and creative packaging solutions goes to my parents in law. They sent us gifts from Auckland, using flour and water glue to secure the packaging (which held despite the package getting wet from rain), tied with string for extra support. My giftchristian louboutin pumps, which was a great ceramic piece, was packed in a box with popped pop corn taking the traditional place of styrofoam. It worked really well and the present arrived safe and sound. Another great Christian Loutoutin Boots rubbish free gift was a ‘Gift for Life’ card from Tear Fund, whereby instead of giving us something, money was donated to Tear Fund for chickens and seeds for a micro-enterprise project in a rural area of Malawi, Africa. We have been quite considered in stocking up with food to see us over the next few days. For example, the old impromptu barbecue can cause a few problems when the butcher isn’t open and the supermarkets still insist on only offering meat on styrofoam trays. Therefore, we purchased plenty of barbecue meat which we have frozen in appropriate quantities so that we can pull that out when the need arises - as it did last night. The only additions we’ve had to our rubbish bag this week, was the plastic clear wrapping around the lid of a jar of dijon mustard that I bought in a bit of rush completely forgetting about rubbish free as I did so, and a bit of plastic from the patch in a bicycle tire repair kit. We are in complete awe of our friends and family for pulling off a rubbish free Christmas - well done! Nextjimmy choo sale week we are hoping to be well out of reach of internet and computers as we celebrate the new year arriving, so will see you all the following week. Also huge apology to any vegans who freaked out about the comment on cellophane last week. Waveney has asked me to pass on her apologies regarding the misinformed statement that cellophane is made from ground calves hooves. It is cellulose - plant based matter. Sorry about that one!! Special thanks to Moria who pointed it out.
